Should YOU attend our Partnership Event?
We think so and let us explain why.
Meeting and talking to your elected representatives can be intimidating, especially if you’ve never done it before. That’s one of the reasons why we started the Partnership event six years ago.
On Thursday October 11th you will have the opportunity to meet informally with candidates for a variety of public offices here in New Hampshire and tell them what’s important to you and your family. They really want to hear from you so that they can represent you in Concord on issues important to the disability community. So, come and share your stories and tell them about the issues impacting you and your family. In preparation for the event we’ve prepared some document briefs that give you background as well as new details/resources for some “Hot Topics” in the NH disability community. This isn’t an exhaustive list and doesn’t replace the importance of hearing your personal stories face-to-face but it is a great way to prepare.
Later in the evening we will be honoring some outstanding people who have made our communities welcoming to people of all abilities. We can’t wait to tell you more about these recipients.
