Why Do We Fundraise?
Community Crossroads is dedicated to supplementing needed supports and services for the individuals and families we serve by actively fundraising. 100% of the proceeds go directly to support children and adults with developmental and other disabilities and their families in our local communities.
Thanks to the generous support of our community partners and dedicated volunteers we host multiple annual fundraising events to raise additional funds. The Fundraising Grant Committee awards grants to meet the needs of the individuals and families we serve that are not covered by Medicaid or insurance. In Fiscal Year 2021, we distributed nearly $50,000 to provide supports that helped hundreds of individuals and families.
As a result of these fundraising efforts individuals are living healthier and happier lives with access to community recreational and therapeutic activities. Access to adaptive technology has given kids and adults a ‘voice’ to engage with the world and communicate better. Youth who are transitioning into adulthood and other adults are able to pursue their employment and career goals with financial assistance to access transportation to and/or from internships and on-the-job training and support.
